Glove Care
We don't believe a glove should be disposable.
Every Cedar glove is handcrafted in Japan with the expectation that it will remain your gamer for years to come. Care for it with the same attention that went into building it, and it will reward you every time you take the field.
1. Condition your Cedar Glove
- Leather naturally loses moisture over time. Apply a high-quality glove conditioner only when the leather begins to feel dry.
- A light application is all that's needed.
- Over-conditioning can soften the leather excessively, add unnecessary weight, and reduce the glove's ability to maintain its shape.

2. Store It Properly
When not in use:
- Store your glove in a cool, dry location.
- Keep your glove upright, avoid laying it flat or inside a stuffed bag.
- Avoid leaving it in vehicles or direct sunlight for extended periods.
- Return it to its Cedar hand-stamped muslin bag to protect it from dust while allowing the leather to breathe. Unlike synthetic storage bags, natural muslin promotes airflow while helping preserve the finish of the leather.

3. Preserve the Pocket
- Your glove's pocket is the result of intentional craftsmanship.
- Avoid stacking heavy equipment on top of your glove or folding it unnaturally. Maintaining its original form will help preserve both performance and longevity.
⸻
4. Keep it Clean
- After each use, remove dirt and dust with a clean, dry microfiber cloth or a soft horsehair brush.
- If the glove becomes wet, allow it to air dry naturally at room temperature. Never use direct heat, as excessive temperatures can dry out and damage the leather.
⸻
5. We Do Not Recommend:
- Microwaving your glove
- Applying excessive oils or conditioners
- Using steam or ovens for break-in
- Leaving your glove in a hot vehicle
